Symptoms
It is a sporadic disease in many parts of India.
The branches of the affected trees became flattened and twisted (Plate 1). The leaves become thin, narrow and yellow (Plate 2).
There is an appearance of rough cluster of leaves and flowers at the tip of such affected twigs, flowers remain infertile leading to no flowering and fruiting (Plate 3 and 4).
The disease can prevalent in high soil moisture conditions.
In some pockets of Gujarat, it has also been reported and being more common in CO-2, Kirthibarthi and Cricket ball varieties.
