• Maintain crop field sanitation in orchards and avoidance of over-crowing of trees to prevent the occurrence of this pest.
• Scraping and clearing of infested branches/trees to prevent further spread of pest to neighboring branches/trees.
• Plugging of zig-zag galleries with cotton-wool soaked in petrol with appearance on tree trunk or primary branches
