Nature of Damage
This pest damages the fruits along with leaves, flowers and buds partially (Fig. 1, 2 & 3).
Both young and matured sapota fruits bored by the larva and bores holes with frass can seen on fruits and sometimes, part of the larval body can seen outside the holes (Fig. 4 & 5).
Fruit becomes unfit for consumption due to complete internal tissue damage to the fruit by boring into the pulp (Fig. 6).
