• Keep sanitation in fruit orchards from weeds and debris.
• Destruction of the affected plant parts at early stage of pest incidence to avoid further spread on unaffected plant parts.
• Application of contact and systemic insecticides in case of severe infestation can minimize the pest population.
• Manage the disease like wilt in orchards which favours shot hole borer infestation on weaker trees during monsoon and winter season.
