HOUSING FOR GOATS:

These species require the low cost housing and are left loose in enclosed area except the does and ewes near the parturition (kidding) and some period (a week) after the parturition for taking care and suckling of young ones. During this period the females are housed individually in cubicles framed by using the expended metal or weld mesh. One female occupies one cubicle for about a week at for one kidding. The houses for these species can be of two types:

1. Ground level with absorbent sandy floor and
2. Raised and slatted floor.

The animals of different age and stage are group housed separately and these partitions should be framed by using the expended metal or the weld mash as per the requirement and later it can be dismantled or modified as per the need. Feeding and watering facilities are provided with different dimensions for different categories of stock.
