Seed rate:
12 to 16 kg/ha (kharif season)
20-25 kg/ha (rabi and summer seasons)
Seeds should be sown at a depth of 5-7 cm.

Seed treatment
Before sowing, seeds should be treated with Thiram or Captan @ 2 to 3 g/kg of seeds. It is also desirable to treat seeds with suitable rhizobium strain if crop is taken in the field first time.
