1. Certain weeds have got medicinal value.
2. Weeds work as soil binding agents to check the erosion in areas which are not under cultivation.
3. Some weeds are used as green fodder for cattle.
4. Some weeds used as ornamental plants in garden.
5. Green plants of weeds when ploughed in, add organic matter to the soil.
6. Some weeds are used as green leafy vegetables.
7. Certain weeds are used for aromatic preparation.
