Seed treatment
Rhizobium bacterial culture is given before sowing because leguminous crops have root nodules with capacity to fix atmospheric nitrogen in the soil, which helps in minimizing the N requirement of the crop. Nitrogen is therefore require as starter dose, latter on the crop takes N fixed by Rhizobium.

1) Sole crop: 75 –90 cm x 25-30 cm
2) Inter crop: 120 cm x 30 cm
3) Early maturing (Pusa Ageti): 60 cm x 20 cm
