Apply FeSO4 @ 10 kg and well mixed in the soil before sowing and apply 50 kg ammonium sulphate on one hectare basis, if disease occur often in the nursery area. Forty grams FeSO4 and 20 grams lime dissolve in 10 liters of water and spray in 1 are area. If leaf shows brown colour, apply 20 kg ZnSO4/ha. For insect control in the field, seedling treatment before transplanting is done. For this, 1 kg Chlorpyriphos + 500 g Urea or 200 g carbofuran dissolve in 100 liters of water and in this solution, seedling roots are dipped for 15 minutes. For wilt control in the field, 50-100 ppm streptocycline treatment is done to the seedlings.
