Nature of damage:

Adults and nymphs remain gregariously and suck the plant sap from leaves and green bolls. Leaves become yellow.
Attacked bolls open badly.
The quality of the lint is reduced.
Oil contents of seed decreases.
The seed becomes unfit for sowing.
Due to the deposition of the excreta and the crushing of the nymph during ginning the lints gets stained.

Management :

Spraying the crop with phosalone 35% EC 0.07 or carbaryl 50 % WP 0.20 %.
