In bearing orchards regular intercultural operations once before monsoon, after monsoon (October) are necessary for maintenance of good health of orchard trees. Herbicides like diuron or atrazin @ 2.5 kg a.i./ha followed by gramoxome @ 3 litre a.i./ha has been recommended in orchards for effective weed control or two to three hand weeding are generally sufficient.
